So What Wednesday

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if...

  • I haven't blogged since last Wednesday (except to provide a brief update).  I spent Thanksgiving weekend with my Baby Girl and loved every second of it!
  • I am at home today because Baby Girl woke up with a fever of 101.8.  I hope it's just another tooth cutting through.
  • I didn't do any online shopping on Black Friday as I had intended.  It just didn't happen.  Instead, we waited until Sunday and bought a new washer and dryer.
  • We realized Home Depot had their so-called Black Friday sale all weekend.
  • I am anxiously awaiting the Ebates check that has accumulated over Thanksgiving weekend.  $70 for the washer and dryer alone?  Cha Ching!
  • I spent so much time and effort on those dam first birthday invitations and I barely have any RSVPs.  I hate it when people don't RSVP.
  • I went and saw Breaking Dawn on Sunday and I loved it!!!!  I'm so sad the saga has ended but I am so happy with how they ended it.  I will be on the lookout for a TV show.
  • I feel that if Vampire Diaries gets a TV show, Twilight should too.
  • We have no Christmas decorations for the outside of our house.  We never decorated outside because we didn't have an electrical outlet outside.  We do now!
  • I really feel the need to get my Christmas shopping done...pronto.  I feel very disorganized and I'm hating it.
  • I've spent the entire day so far watching the health channel.  Mystery Diagnosis, why haven't we met before?  Maternity Ward certainly makes me NEVER want a C-section!
  • I lost a follower.  Was it my lack of blogging for the past week?  I'll get back on track, I promise!

  1. Breaking Dawn was amazing! And I wish we could buy a new washer and dryer right now! Ugh! Ours are in desperate need of being replaced. Hope your little one feels better soon!

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...

29 Week Bumpdate

The heart rate today was 160 and all is well. Little Man is still kicking away all the time!  He sleeps until late morning and then he's all over the place for the rest of the day.  It's fun but it's also uncomfortable sometimes. When I weighed myself on Sunday, which is when I usually do it to update my pregnancy app, I was only up 15lbs.  As of today, though, I am up 17lbs.  I feel like I am growing at warp speed but the doctor assures me that I am measuring just fine.  I do feel like some of the shirts I wore two weeks ago shouldn't be worn anymore though!  The bump is growing! I have noticed that I have been waking up with swollen ankles every morning despite sleeping with them elevated.  I know this has a lot to do with the weight gain since I had such a problem with it last time.  Other than that, the normal heartburn and backaches come and go and I'm crazy tired but I don't really have any other issues.  I don't ever ...
