So What Wednesday

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if...
  • My husband is sick and sleeping on the couch again.  It sucks but it's for the best.
  • My husband and I want to get a 'new' vehicle even though we've only had the Beamer for a year and a half.  I love that thing but two car sets, a double stroller and all the other crap you have to carry around with a newborn?  Not gonna work.
  • I finally got my new iPod hooked up and I love it!  Now I just need a new pair of ear buds.  I love the Skullcandy buds.
  • We went to 3 different stores on Sunday looking for new puzzle floor mats for Baby Girl to play on and we found NONE!  I was very angry.
  • Baby Girl has another ear infection.  Now it's time for a visit to the ear, nose and throat specialist.  I'm really hoping they won't suggest tubes.
  • I gave Baby Girl some of the marshmallows from my lucky charms for breakfast because I felt bad for dragging her to the doctor at 8:30 last night.  She gobbled them up so I guess she wasn't too mad at me!
  • Speaking of Lucky Charms, I have been craving cereal like crazy!  I go through at least a box a week now!  Captain Crunch, Frosted Flakes and now Lucky Charms.
  • I plan to design an Origami Owl necklace online and give the gem list to my husband so he can get it for me for Valentine's Day.  At least he won't have to think about the gift this year!
  • The strap on my Coach diaper bag broke and I still haven't sent it back for a new one.  I'm kind of waiting to see what Baby Miller #2 is and maybe I can get the blue one if I have to.
  • I'm really starting to look pregnant already but I still haven't gained an ounce of weight.  (no, I'm not complaining!)
  • I watched an episode or two of Teen Mom 2 this past weekend and was just disgusted by the whole thing.  I mean really?  The one girl has twins and is expecting a third child?  All before she turns 21?  Why do we promote this stuff?
  • We are planning a small trip away next week and I want to invite my parents for a day.  I'm a family person, what can I say?
  • I'm letting my hair grow back out.  I miss my long hair.
  • I entered Baby Girl in another contest.

  2. What???? CONGRATULATIONS!!! I didn't realize you are pregnant! I hope you're feeling ok! How far along are you? I totally craved cereal all the time with Ellee's pregnancy too, and none of the healthy kind. The more sugary the better!
    Congrats again!

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and
