So What Wednesday

So What Wednesday
This week, I'm saying so what if...
  • I spent most of my day yesterday in the bathroom throwing up.  I think I got a stomach bug because I just couldn't keep anything down.
  • I lost 3lbs due to above mentioned stomach bug.  3lbs in one day.  Blah.
  • My Mom gave me more chicken pot pie since it's the only thing I've been able to eat lately that doesn't make me want to throw up.
  • I'm officially changing my vote to Boy.  I just have a feeling.
  • After weeks of anticipation for this first ultrasound, my husband forgot about the appointment.  I was left on my own to wrangle our toddler while getting an ultrasound done.  Momma was not a happy camper.
  • I'm thinking about sharing my list of names for this baby.
  • I would really like one big snowstorm before the warmer weather gets here.  I really love snow and I feel like we got ripped off this year.  Sorry to all of those who are stuck with tons of snow!
  • I started tearing up when the lady from the pre-admission testing was telling me about how they will gas my child before her surgery.  I know it's simple procedure but it's still my baby!
  • I'm not on the Instagram loop.  I'm sure I'll get there at some point.
  • I'm thinking about doing away with the follow me by email I have on my blog.  I don't think anyone really follows by email anyway.
  • I am getting ready to send out my first Pay It Forward gift and I am so excited!  I really tried to get to know each lovely lady by stalking their blog so I hope they enjoy the gifts!

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
