So What Wednesday

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if...
  • I have an unusual obsession with makeup. I only use a few basic staples on a daily basis but I save the rest for special occasions!
  • I banned Baby Girl from eating blueberries. They give her explosive blue poops and we just can't have that.
  • Baby Girl gets the same exact thing for breakfast every morning. She likes it and when I give her something different, she won't eat.
  • I almost cried at the grocery store last week because they didn't have the pasta bowl I wanted. I'm sure I looked like a pretty big douche standing there swearing at those pasta bowls. Pregnancy hormones at their finest.
  • I could spend all day just reading and commenting on the tons of blogs I am subscribed to. I love to hear what you ladies have to say.
  • I told my husband that I should not be allowed to go grocery shopping alone. Last week I came home with nachos and cheese, iced animal crackers and chocolate covered granola bars. Oh and another box of Captain Crunch.
  • He agreed even though he hates grocery shopping!
  • I'm so sad the 49ers lost the Superbowl. I really thought they were going to come back and win it. Maybe next year.
  • My husband and I are big comedy watchers and always break out our favorite lines randomly in conversations. Poop to that! (name that movie)
  • We are on a little vacation and I am SICK!
  • I wrote this post last Thursday because I wasn't sure I'd have time to write it while we are away this week. (Yes I even wrote the Superbowl line last week. Yes I had to tweak the Superbowl line because it originally said happy they won! My husband now blames me for the loss)
  • I entered Baby Girl in another contest.

  1. I too have a makeup obsession. It's pretty bad. My husband told me the other day... "Ya know... it's really sad that when I go to pick Tyler up at school, I notice that some of the women are totally wearing the wrong shade of foundation. This is all your fault! I'm a dude! I shouldn't know these things!"

Cheerios Stands

So when I logged onto my computer this morning, the first article that caught my attention was this one ( Cheerios Stands ) about a new commercial Cheerios has out.  They are getting a ton of negative feedback for this commercial and I'm just not understanding why. So basically, people are upset because this is a white mother, a black father and a biracial child.  What's the big deal? I know that it isn't a common thing to see in a TV commercial but what's the big deal?  I really don't think that biracial couples are uncommone these days so I'm not really understanding why they are getting such negative feedback for this commercial.  I give a ton of props to Cheerios/General Mills for not pulling the ad.  They could do that and that would be easy and would end the negativity but they are not going to do that.  Good for you.  There is no reason why this ad should not be aired. By the way, I think the commercial is cute and funny and I proba...

29 Week Bumpdate

The heart rate today was 160 and all is well. Little Man is still kicking away all the time!  He sleeps until late morning and then he's all over the place for the rest of the day.  It's fun but it's also uncomfortable sometimes. When I weighed myself on Sunday, which is when I usually do it to update my pregnancy app, I was only up 15lbs.  As of today, though, I am up 17lbs.  I feel like I am growing at warp speed but the doctor assures me that I am measuring just fine.  I do feel like some of the shirts I wore two weeks ago shouldn't be worn anymore though!  The bump is growing! I have noticed that I have been waking up with swollen ankles every morning despite sleeping with them elevated.  I know this has a lot to do with the weight gain since I had such a problem with it last time.  Other than that, the normal heartburn and backaches come and go and I'm crazy tired but I don't really have any other issues.  I don't ever ...

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...
