So What Wednesday

So What Wednesday
This week, I'm saying so what if...
  • Baby Girl woke up this morning covered in vomit.  Gross..I know.  She seemed completely fine, though, so after a bath and some breakfast, she went to daycare.  She has been coughing a lot so I'm sure that's what caused it.
  • I haven't posted my Bumpdate/Baby Gender/Other News post yet.  I'm getting there.  I promise.
  • I'm having a really hard time dealing with turning 30 this year.  Age never bothered me before so I'm not sure why it's bothering me now.  All I can think about is how little time I have left.  So morbid.
  • I prefer a hand written calendar over an electronic one.  There's just something about seeing your plans written in your own handwriting that makes them more real.  Plus, calendars and date books are adorable.
  • I'm so tired of the attitude I'm getting at work.  I can't stand ridiculous people.
  • The first few episodes of The Voice were great but I've been a little disappointed since.  They really showed the best performances first and saved the boring ones for last!
  • My husband is working 16-18 hour days right now.  He's just got too much going on!
  • It took Baby Girl a day or two to recover from day at her Uncle's house. She was outside running around all day and she was tired!  This makes it all worth it!

Comments

  1. Sorry about the husbands long hours. My husbands long hours/weekends will be starting in another month or two. Eh, turning 30 isn't so bad. I turn 31 next week...I thought it would bug me but it isn't.

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...

29 Week Bumpdate

The heart rate today was 160 and all is well. Little Man is still kicking away all the time!  He sleeps until late morning and then he's all over the place for the rest of the day.  It's fun but it's also uncomfortable sometimes. When I weighed myself on Sunday, which is when I usually do it to update my pregnancy app, I was only up 15lbs.  As of today, though, I am up 17lbs.  I feel like I am growing at warp speed but the doctor assures me that I am measuring just fine.  I do feel like some of the shirts I wore two weeks ago shouldn't be worn anymore though!  The bump is growing! I have noticed that I have been waking up with swollen ankles every morning despite sleeping with them elevated.  I know this has a lot to do with the weight gain since I had such a problem with it last time.  Other than that, the normal heartburn and backaches come and go and I'm crazy tired but I don't really have any other issues.  I don't ever ...
