We decided to take Baby Girl to see her Uncle and Aunt this weekend. My husband's brother lives about an hour and a half away from us so we don't get to see him and his wife very often. My husband likes to use Facetime on the iPad to talk to them but that's not the same.
So Saturday, after my husband finished his work day (which wasn't until 7pm), we headed to his brother's house. Baby Girl slept almost the whole way there, go figure. Just like her Mama, she can't stay awake on long car rides. Not a big deal but not fun when you know you're going to be awake with the little one until midnight!
We didn't arrive until around 9 because we stopped for food on the way. We just relaxed for a bit and let Baby Girl run around and try to burn off some of her nap time energy. It was a little rough but I finally got her to sleep around midnight. She woke up at 8am the next morning ready to explore!
After a nice breakfast at Cracker Barrel, we spent the rest of the day relaxing and watching Baby Girl run around like a wild woman! I'm so glad it was a warm day because she spent the entire day outside. She ran around, rode on the tractor, played with the dog and just enjoyed the day.

She decided she wanted to check out the dog crate.
Then she decided to crawl into the dog crate. By the time I got the picture, she was crawling back out. Of course the dog wants to know why she is in the crate!
Baby Girl and Uncle T. The dog, Remy, was in love and would not leave Baby Girl alone for a second!
Daddy gave Baby Girl a ride on the tractor. She cried at first but then she loved it and wouldn't leave it alone. They were giving her random rides the rest of the day! I posted this picture on Facebook with the caption, "Redneck amusement park ride!"
Can you spot the baby? She wouldnt' leave the tractor alone!
Look at that happy face!
After forcing Baby Girl to take a very short nap, we ate some dinner where she proceeded to stuff herself with mashed potatoes. She was messy but it was worth it! She slept most of the ride back home but it wasn't quite as bad to get her to sleep since we left around 5:30.
She is still very tired today and didn't seem to want to go to daycare! I think we will be spending a lot of time outside this Summer!!
Tomorrow is the day!!!! We find out if we are team pink or team blue!!! My husband won't be able to make it to the appointment so I asked my Grandmother to join me. I know she is excited to find out and she thinks it's girl. Today is the last day to vote! I have to tell my husband right away but I think that I will post the update tomorrow night or Wednesday morning. I have a plan! (or I might be too excited and might just spill the bean right away...we'll see!)
How exciting about the gender - and we will find out three days after you! We will both have two girls? EEE!
ReplyDeleteYay! I voted a while ago and now I've forgotten what picked! Ha ha.
