So What Wednesday

So What Wednesday
This week, I'm saying so what if...
  • Baby Girl walks outside every morning and yells at the dog across the street.

  • I bought a few pieces of clothing for Baby Boy and holy crap they are so tiny and cute!  I can't remember Baby Girl being that small!
  • I have the registry for Baby Boy pretty much done.  I know that I will probably add to it and take away from it until July, but at least it's done.
  • Speaking of July, my Mom is already planning the baby shower for Baby Boy.  Well she has a date picked anyway.
  • I don't want to buy a new car seat, high chair, swing or pack and play for Baby Boy.  The ones that we got for Baby Girl are in perfect shape.  Why should I buy new ones?  Anyone know where I can get good covers for these things?  I can't sew so making them myself isn't an option.
  • I announced the name of Baby Boy even though I was so secretive about it with Baby Girl.  I guess it's different because he is going to be a II.
  • Baby Girl loves hats and likes to wear them regardless of whether or not they match her outfit.

  • I was all excited this weekend when Baby Girl told me she pooped that I wanted to start potty training her right away.  I still haven't gone and gotten a potty.  This weekend...maybe.
  • I decided not to get Baby Girl's hair cut this past weekend as I had planned.  Since I was going alone, I knew that I wasn't going to be able to keep her content enough while I got my hair cut to actually sit still for her own hair cut.  We go this weekend instead.
  • The Mommy date I had planned for last weekend actually turned into a family date.  That's OK.  We had fun!
  • Even though this little man is only like 10oz, sometimes he kicks me so hard it actually scares the crap out of me.  Won't be long until Daddy can feel it too.
  • I hate stink bugs so much that I trap them and let someone else deal with them.
There is a stink bug under there...yuck!

  1. Mackenzie has started yelling at and chasing our cat. Sometimes I laugh, but when she's yelling at the cat we have to distract her. Poor cat is so going to run away one day.

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
