Friday's Letters

Dear Baby Girl, warmer weather means really cute dresses and you have a ton of them.  I know how clumsy you are so let's just try not to fall too much outside.  I'm not looking forward to your first real boo boo.

Dear Baby #2, I was actually able to take a video of your kicks yesterday.  You were jumping around in there like a crazy man!  Let's try to tone down the appetite.  I feel like a cow!  Only a few more months until we meet.

Dear Grey's, you did not disappoint!  I love how you always give us great endings and tell us what's going on but still leave some cliff hangers.  I am a little disappointed by the name you chose for the Grey/Shepherd baby, though.  I was totally expecting something honoring Mark but whatever.

Dear Origami Owl, so it took you three weeks to ship my necklace and then something is back ordered and you don't even have the courtesy to let me know?  I would really like to have one of these necklaces for myself but I'm not sure it's worth the trouble?  Any Origami Owl sellers our there who can get this stuff to me faster?

Dear American Idol, I didn't watch you this year but from the one or two episodes I did watch, I'd say America got it right.  Candice seems like the right choice although I did prefer Angie's Titanium performance with Adam Lambert over Candice's performance with Jennifer Hudson.

Dear Me, stop being so dam clumsy!  Every time you get a new maternity shirt, you spill something on it and stain it!  You can't afford to keep buying things!

Dear friends, I apologize in advance for my husband's lack of planning and the short notice invitations you will be receiving next week.  I guess there is going to be a birthday party after all.

Dear husband, this whole going to Chicago for work the weekend before our son is supposed to be born is so not cool.  You said the last weekend in August which just happesn to be his due date!  Requesting that he be born two weeks early so you can go isn't going to work either!

Dear readers, Have a good weekend!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
