So What Wednesday

So What Wednesday
This week, I'm saying so what if...
  • My 30th birthday is in 16 days and my husband still doesn't have the party planned.
  • I really want to hang some pictures on our walls but I don't see the point if we are just going to be moving in a few months.  Yes, we have bare walls and I hate it.
  • My husband's Father's Day gifts might arrive before my Mom's Mother's Day gift arrives!  I'm going to be giving Origami Owl an earful!
  • I'm really bored with the whole Angelina's boobs story.  I agree that what she did is a big deal but a hero?  Give me a break.  How about all of the other women who don't have a choice but to have mascectomys?  How about the ones who can't afford the reconstruction surgery?  These people don't get the recognition she is getting and they are the real heroes.
  • I think I can repeat every line from the movie Wall-E because it's pretty much plays on repeat at our house lately.
  • Baby Girl's car seat is kind of wobbly and I just want to buy her a new one.  The one we got her was a cheaper one from Target but I'm starting to regret it.  Any suggestions?
  • Baby Girl is still rear facing even though all my friends with younger kids have their kids forward facing already.  I just think it's safer.
  • Baby Girl made me a cute planter with her foot prints and I left it outside.  We got a lot of rain and the foot prints washed off. :(
  • I watched another little girl hit my baby girl for no reason this morning at daycare and I wanted to punt that little brat across the room.  Only a few more weeks.
  • One of Baby Girl's last 'bad habits' is almost officially broken.  More on that later.
  • I'm excited for Michael J Fox's new show coming this Fall.  I'm hoping they will come up with a better title by the time it airs, though.

Comments

  1. I love Michael J Fox. Don't even get me started on bare walls. I moved here the end of February and then my dad got put in the hospital. Between work and visiting him at the hospital, I have had no time to hang pics. I can't stand looking at my walls.

I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
