Friday's Letters

Linking up with Adventures of Newlyweds for

Photobucket

Dear Baby Girl, you get a letter every week.  It's because I just love you so much.  Thanks for being so awesome all of the time.  Your adorable giggles and your awesome high fives make my day!

Dear YoGo Frozen Yogurt, I'm sortof kindof in love with you.  Your thin mint yogurt is amazing and I love that I can get as much or as little as I want.  Your toppings are crazy and I love the variety.  I will be visiting often.

Dear recreation center, thank you so much for being available for Baby Girl's first birthday!  I can't wait to see what you look like today.  I just know you are going to be perfect.

Dear Baby Girl's first birthday, if you could just go ahead and plan yourself that would super spectacular.

Dear Baby Girl's first birthday outfit, you suck for being sold out!  You were the perfect outfit for my little girl and now I have to find something else for her to wear.  Thanks for making it that much harder for me.

Dear Captain Morgan, it's been a long week and I have missed you.  Looking forward to our evening together.

Dear Smash, I'm getting impatient.  When are you coming back?   Your website just says 'coming soon!'  When is soon?

Dear Halloween, I really can't stand you.  I think you are a dumb, pointless holiday and I can't wait for you to be over.

Dear Sister, no one knows where you are or what you are doing.  It would be nice if you would stop being an asshole and check in every now and then.

Dear readers, have a great weekend!

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
