31 Days of Gratefulness: Day 3

The photo gallery on my phone is holding 1206 photos of my little angel.  My poor little SIM card is working its ass off.  It's just so easy to grab my phone and snap a photo of the cute little face she makes when she tries a new food.  Or how cute she looks when she falls asleep in the middle of all of her toys.  Or how about when one of the pugs snuggles up to her while she is sleeping?

Yes, my camera phone is wonderful for all of these special moments in our lives.  But let's face it....a camera phone is not going to provide quality photos.  While I am grateful for my camera phone, I am much more grateful for my

Professional Photographer

My cousin's fiance introduced me to her friend Carrie Nawarynski when I was looking to have Baby Girl's 4 month photos taken.  I was slow to start so I missed the newborn pictures so I decided to have her pictures taken at 4, 8 and 12 months.

The four month photos were ADORABLE!  It helps that my little girl is ridiculously cute but Carrie was so easy to work with and so patient with us.

Since she did such a great job with the four month photos, I knew I wanted her to do our eight month photos as well.  I dropped the ball on scheduling so they are actually more like nine month photos but that's ok.  She did a great job with these too!

How stinking cute is this kid?  I mean seriously.  Carrie was awesome.  She was very patient with us, especially since I had my immediate family with us to have pictures taken as well.  I saw a few generation photos on Pinterest that I wanted to try.

The pictures are beautiful and I am so grateful that I was able to find Carrie.  Next photo shoot?  December for Baby Girl's 12 month photos.  I can't believe it's only two months away!!

Check my blog for a full post with all of the pictures.

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
