Fab Fridays

Linking up with Between the Lines for

I bought my first Scentsy warmer last weekend and I am in love!  It matches our living room perfectly.  I have changed the smell three times already this week and have even combined different smells.  The scents I got are vanilla cream, black raspberry vanilla and pumpkin marshmallow.  Pumpkin marshmallow is my favorite by far.  I mixed it with a little vanilla last night and it was marvelous!

Baby Girl is now a little speed demon with her crawling.  She just moves so quickly now!  My favorite thing is hearing those little hands hit the floor and I know she is coming.  She usually comes to visit me while I'm in the kitchen.  My favorite face?  Her scrunch face.  I mean, isn't it just adorable.  This kid is ridiculously fabulous.  I'm bummed that I won't get to spend my normal Saturday with her though.  We have a wedding to go to so we are shipping her to Nana's house for the day!  I know she will have tons of fun!

Another festival this weekend!  This time I get to grub on some pumpkin funnel cake.  Does it get any better than that?  Oh yea, how about the fact that I get to chow down with some of my favorite people?!  Can't wait to see my little Maya!!

See that strange looking thing?  That's the passenger side cup holder in my X3.  A friend of mine accidentally broke it last year and we finally just got it fixed.  The price to fix it?  Not so fabulous.  The fact that it's finally fixed?  FABULOUS!ļ»æ

    1. Yes it does look like a gun clip at first glance doesn't it? My huband is an avid hunter and owns many guns.

Ah...you're a Scentsy seller? I will come to you next time I need something!

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...

29 Week Bumpdate

The heart rate today was 160 and all is well. Little Man is still kicking away all the time!  He sleeps until late morning and then he's all over the place for the rest of the day.  It's fun but it's also uncomfortable sometimes. When I weighed myself on Sunday, which is when I usually do it to update my pregnancy app, I was only up 15lbs.  As of today, though, I am up 17lbs.  I feel like I am growing at warp speed but the doctor assures me that I am measuring just fine.  I do feel like some of the shirts I wore two weeks ago shouldn't be worn anymore though!  The bump is growing! I have noticed that I have been waking up with swollen ankles every morning despite sleeping with them elevated.  I know this has a lot to do with the weight gain since I had such a problem with it last time.  Other than that, the normal heartburn and backaches come and go and I'm crazy tired but I don't really have any other issues.  I don't ever ...
