So What Wednesday

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if...
  • This is my 5th link up this week.  Gotta get my name out there.
  • I often skip breakfast and save my calories for my daily night cap.  I can cut a lot of things out of my diet but Captain Morgan isn't one of them.
  • I have planned to go to a Fall festival every weekend in October.  I am loving me some Fall.
  • I am way too excited about the pumpkin funnel cake I will be devouring this Sunday at our first Fall festival.  I'm hoping it's really gross and I hate it but something tells me that won't be the case.
  • Baby Girl now has a serious cold.  She is all snotty and mucusy and gross.  Poor kids always seems to catch something.
  • Baby Girl's daycare is pissing me off more and more and we are now going to be actively looking elsewhere for daycare.
  • The cup holder that needs to be replaced in my car could cost up to $300!!  It's just an F*ing cup holder.  Stupid BMW.
  • I was really disappointed with Grey's Anatomy last week.  I mean, you had to kill off McSteamy like that in the first episode of the season? (*cue tears*) I'm still looking forward to this week's episode.
  • I am going to become an advocate for Loseit.com.  I have become a serious calorie counter and you know what....I have lost almost 10 lbs because of it.
  • I am continuing the countdown for Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2. 44 days to go. I am RIDICULOUSLY excited (and sad because I know the saga is ending).

What are you saying so what to this week?

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
