4) Include the logo of the award in your post.

7 Things about me

1.  I am a compulsive list maker.  I make lists for everything.  Need to clean the house?  I make a list for what needs to be done in every room.  Need to pack for a vacation?  I make a list for all of us, including the dogs, so I don't forget anything.  I also love the satisfaction of crossing things off the lists.  And if I don't cross something off, I will make another list of the things I didn't cross off.  I know...it's borderline psychotic.

2.  I love to entertain.  I love to plan, to decorate, to invite, to host.  I love it all.  I should be a party planner but don't really know how to get into it professionally.

3.  My favorite band of all time is Queen.  I'm old school.  And I am so ridiculously excited for the Freddie Mercury movie they are making.

4.  I secretly love it when my daughter snobs people off.  In that moment, it means that she is in no mood to be bothered by anyone but me.  I love it.

5.  I also hate it when my daughter willingly goes to just about any female she comes into contact with but refuses to go to any man other than her Daddy.  *stings*

6.  If I'm driving somewhere new, I can usually remember how to get there the next time.  If I'm in the passenger seat, your guess is as good as mine.  I guess when I'm driving I pay better attention to road signs and such so I remember the directions.

7.  I am a photo fanatic.  I have around 1500 photos on my phone.  I have a hard time deleting any photos, even if they are terrible.  It's an obsession.

Ally at My Life With the Skylar Girls
Mrs D at When Does Mommy Get a Nap?

  4. So exciting- I've never won anything before. Makes me feel like a real blogger- you know aside from the fact that not too many people read my blog. But it's nice to have things documented to look back on. BTW- I am total list maker. I will actually add things to the top of the list that I already did but were part of the process so I can mark it off. Makes me feel more productive.

  5. Thanks so much for nominating me! =) I feel so special. =)
I'm a photo fanatic, too. I've been forcing myself to delete photos lately, just because I know I've almost reached the max point on my phone. It's so hard to let 'em go though!
I WISH I loved to entertain. My life would be so much easier if I did!
I only make lists every once in a while, but they really are great when it comes to helping you get things done. There's something about crossing things off of a list that makes you feel so accomplished. =)
    Have a great weekend, friend!

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
