So What Wednesdays

I just linked up with Shannon at Life After I Dew to start "So What Wednesdays."  I think this will be good for me.  Let me know what you think!

This week, I'm saying so what if...

  • I want to start pawning some of Ashlyn's stuff onto my Mom to keep at her house so I can get new stuff.  New stuff is cuter!
  • I set a dinner schedule each week that gets ruined by my husband because he works more hours than anyone else in the world.
  • I threaten to secretly put our Black Lab in our neighbor's yard and hope they don't notice.
  • We have NO plans this Memorial day weekend.  We have a kid and everyone forgets about us!
  • I feel like I need something extremely significant to happen in my life right now because I have been nothing but bummed lately.
  • I can't keep my eyes open past 10pm, even on the weekends.
  • Ashlyn turns 6 months in a few weeks.  It's not like she's growing up or anything.
  • The shower almost completely overflowed this morning because there is something wrong with our plumbing.
  • I am ridiculously excited to have off from work Monday and Friday of next week.  (Monday for Memorial Day, Friday for my birthday!)
  • Taking off work for my birthday means that I still have to work because I refuse to take Ashlyn to daycare if I'm off work.  Happy Birthday to me!
  • I'm only one day into my new 'routine' (work, exercise, dinner) and I already don't feel like doing it.

What are you saying so what to this week?

Go link up with Shannon at Life After I Dew!

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...

29 Week Bumpdate

The heart rate today was 160 and all is well. Little Man is still kicking away all the time!  He sleeps until late morning and then he's all over the place for the rest of the day.  It's fun but it's also uncomfortable sometimes. When I weighed myself on Sunday, which is when I usually do it to update my pregnancy app, I was only up 15lbs.  As of today, though, I am up 17lbs.  I feel like I am growing at warp speed but the doctor assures me that I am measuring just fine.  I do feel like some of the shirts I wore two weeks ago shouldn't be worn anymore though!  The bump is growing! I have noticed that I have been waking up with swollen ankles every morning despite sleeping with them elevated.  I know this has a lot to do with the weight gain since I had such a problem with it last time.  Other than that, the normal heartburn and backaches come and go and I'm crazy tired but I don't really have any other issues.  I don't ever ...
