No, not really. But I think this is going to be how I announce my next pregnancy. Let me explain:
When we found out that Baby Girl was coming, we quickly realized that my little Saturn Ion with cool suicide doors was not going to be suitable for a baby. While the trunk is pretty big, the back seat is not and trying to get a car seat in and out of a car with suicide doors? Not an easy task.
So we went hunting. The car I really wanted was a Lexus IS250. I saw that car one time and fell in love with it. I wanted that thing so badly. But, let's face it, it wasn't much better than my Saturn.
We were on the lookout for an SUV because it's either that or a mini van and this Momma is ANTI MINI VAN! So I was looking at the Mazda CX7 or the CX9. I really liked how much space it had and it looks like a little space ship so I was digging it.
My husband is the one who said, "If you're looking at the CX7, why not try the BMW X3 instead." He had to pull some teeth (like maybe one) before I said ok. We went to the BMW dealership near our house, test drove an X3, kept it over night and then paid for it the next day.
I love my X3. It is a beautiful little SUV. But that's exactly what it is......little. The cargo space in the back is just big enough to fit the Cadillac stroller that we have and not much else. You can't put the passenger seat back too far because the car seat gets in the way. While I love to drive the X3, it's just not going to be practical for us when we have a second child.
So, we will need to go car shopping.....again.
Let me say, I am in no way implying that I need to go car shopping right now. I wish I was but I'm not. I just think it will be fun to see who remembers this when the time comes. So, if in a few months or in a year you see me post "Time to go car shopping!!" on Facebook or Twitter or even in a blog, you will know what that means.
I'm actually pretty excited to see how many people will be able to pick up on what I'm saying.
