Happy New Year!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas.  My husband and I always spend a lot of time with my family for Christmas.  We always spend Christmas Eve with my Mom's side of the family and then we choose a different day to have dinner with my Dad' side of the family.  This year, we had to re-schedule my Dad's side of the family because my Uncle had a heart attack.  He is OK and made it home on Christmas Day!  We will be seeing them this coming weekend.   So Christmas Eve was spent with my Mom's side of the family.  We had a wonderful dinner followed by some pretty awesome desserts and then gift exchanging.      On Christmas morning, we woke up and let Baby Girl open her presents.  She ripped one little piece of paper off at a time!     Then we headed to my Mom's house for more gifts and lunch.    Baby Girl got one of these buggies for her birthday too so this one stays at Nana's house!   We also visited my Brother in Law o

Fab Fridays

Linking up with Between the Lines for     We are taking Baby Girl to her first hockey game tonight!  I hope she loves it as much as we do!  Getting her to sit still is going to be quite challenging.   This week was casual week at work.  It's nice to be able to wear jeans to work.   I'm working on a new blog design and I think it's going to be fabulous!    As much as I love Christmas, I can't wait to take all of the decorations down.  I didnt' realize how much room my daughter's toys would take up!  Clutter much?   I got Baby Girl's thank you cards and they are the most adorable things I have ever seen!  I am hoping to get them all sent out this weekend.   front back

Cara Box Reveal!

I'm a day late but here's my Cara Box reveal!! I had the pleasure of sending a box to Emily at Be Blessed, Y'all.   Click the link to see what I sent her!  I was lucky enough to receive my Cara Box from Alexis.  She doesn't have a blog but she participated anyway.  It was amazing how well she read into my blog to find things out.  I love every single thing she sent me! She included the sweetest note and a note describing each item and why it was included: 1.  Twix - favorite candy 2.  Baby lips - dry lips in Winter and PA sounds cold! 3.  Cupcake holders - for hostessing 4.  Stickers - love for snowmen 5.  Sharpie - it's pink! 6.  Heart post-it - to make a list! 7.  Candle and sparkly candle holder - for a small pink sparkle :) 8.  Labels - because you have a lovely family :) I mean she really nailed it.  I can't believe how much I love everything! Thanks Alexis!!! If you're interested in signing up for the Cara Box swap, see Wifession

Ashlyn's First Birthday

Finally getting this posted! What a huge success this party was.  I did not do all of the things that I had originally planned but I don't think the party could have been any better.  Ashlyn had such a great time.  The girl was smiling and laughing the entire time.  Even at the end of the party, after almost everyone had left, she was still playing and laughing through all of the yawns and eye rubbing. The hall we rented was perfect.  It was big enough that I didn't feel like people were bouncing into each other, which was great since we had about 70 people come!  We had pink table clothes, and pink first birthday center pieces.  We had tray after tray of food and a huge birthday cake.  The food consisted of deli meats for sandwiches, bologna and cheese trays, fruit trays, veggie trays, chips and pretzels, macaroni salad and a big crock pot of hot dogs.  The cake was purchased at our local grocery store.  I was a bit disappointed at first because the colors of the cake we

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if... I've written Baby Girl's first birthday and 12 month posts but haven't had time to edit them to post.  I'll get to them this week sometime. Baby Girl had no interest in her Christmas gifts.  She would rip a little paper off at a time but only because I was bribing her.  Oh well.  Better luck next year. I didn't send my Christmas cards out until the Saturday before Christmas. I'm sad that Christmas is over already but I'm a little happy that I can take the decorations down soon.  They cause a bit of clutter in our house. Baby Girl gets to spend the rest of this week at her Nana's house and I know she will have so much fun that she won't want to come home. I have not been feeling well since my company Christmas party last Friday where I had a little too much to drink and thoroughly embarrassed the crap out of myself.  Our Christmas Village plans for last weekend were canceled because it was too

Holiday Linkup!

Linking up with Sarah for     What's your favorite holiday movie?   Hands down....Elf.  I thought the movie was dumb the first time I saw it but that's usually how I feel about all Will Ferrell movies.      Do you have any special traditions?   Aside from putting all of the decorations up right before or after Thanksgiving, not really.    What's your favorite ornament or decoration?   My favorite ornament is the baby shoe that has my daughter's birth information engraved on it.  My favorite decoration is the giant gingerbread train I got a few years ago.  It lights up and is glittery and adorable!     Best gift you've ever received?   My daughter came 2 weeks before Christmas last year so she has been the best gift I have ever received.  Aside from her, my adorable little pugger Katie and my iPod rank in the top.    Favorite winter accessory? Scarves.  I have a ton of different scarves and I love to wear them!   Real or fake tre

Christmas Photos

I know that I have a ton of posts to make but I wanted to share these photos with you.  Getting the Christmas pictures was a bit more tricky because I wanted to do them inside.  We have a pretty small house so we knew it wasn't going to be easy but we made it work!   Our photographer is amazing!!  Thank you so much to Carrie Nawarynski Photography for the fantastic photos!     M E R R Y C H R I S T M A S !
