So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if... I let Baby Girl nap in our bed during the day. She takes longer naps! I figured out she was boycotting all food because her canines were finally coming in. One more for the complete set. Now that I stay home, I wear yoga pants....a lot. I love that I now have time to keep my house clean. I hate how much dog hair is always all over the place, though. I still haven't written a post about my baby shower. I haven't even started it yet. It will be pretty lame since I didn't take many pictures. I hate that I don't have time to blog like I used to. I miss blogging and reading blogs and feel so out of touch with everyone. My boobs are leaking already. They have been for about two weeks now. I didn't have that problem with Baby Girl until the week after I had her so this is quite unusual for me. Hopefully it means breast feeding will be easier. I feel like I should buy a nursing bra but I have no idea where to start

Friday's Letters

Dear Baby Girl, I think the boycott is finally over.  You have been eating like a champ all week.  I've never seen a kid at so much fruit before.  You just gobble it up!    Dear Baby #2, only a few more weeks until I get to see your adorable little face.  We still have a few things to do to prepare but we are pretty much ready for you! Dear baby shower, you were awesome!  I'm so grateful for all of the people who came to share in our excitement for Baby Boy! Dear work, so far...I don't miss you.  Not one bit.  Dear Kate,  I'm glad you had your baby and that all is well but I'm over it.  No offense but I really just don't understand why we are taking such a interest in you and your family.  Dear blog, I know I have been slacking lately.  I've just been so busy with Baby Girl and preparing for Little Man and keeping up with housework and trying to organize my husband's business.  I promise I will get into a groove and start blog

33 Week Bumpdate

The heart rate was 156 and all is well. I'm a little confused because my pregnancy app says that I was 33 weeks and 4 days but the doctor says I was 34 weeks and 1 day. I will take the latter since that means the little man could be here sooner! I don't even want to talk about my weight. Even though the doctor says my weight is fine, every time I see the number on that scale go it up it kills me! I know this little guy is not done growing so I guess I need to get over it! The backaches have been really bad this time around. The little man is so low he is just killing my back. He is also kicking or hitting my hip bones all of the time. The doctor says it's normal with a second child as is all the pressure he puts down there. The heartburn has been ridiculously bad. I have been dealing with it with Tums but it is still bad. I hope that means a lot of hair! Sleeping through the night is non-existent. I can't stay comfortable and usually have to get up t

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if... Once again, I haven't blogged since last Wednesday. I'm really not liking this since I am falling behind in my reading! I also have a bumpdate post from last week and a baby shower post. My baby shower was this past Sunday and I didn't get a single picture of myself or anyone else who came. I only got a few pictures of the decorations. Party fail! Baby Girl has watched Madagascar every day this week so far. I've got to get that girl interested in some other movies. I didn't realize how restless my dogs would be with me being home. They never seem to just settle down during the day. Baby Girl's sleep is still off. Her naps this week have only been about 40 minutes compared to her normal one to two hours, she has been waking up early and going to bed late. This makes for a very tired Mama. While I really wanted the Little Man to come on his own, I'm kind of hoping that my doctor will suggest inducti

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if... I completely forgot to post my SWW yesterday so I'm doing it today.  I'm blogging on my husband's iPad and I hate it! I spent my first two days of not working cleaning my house.   I'm so excited to have Baby Girl home with me starting next week.  I really miss her when I'm home alone during the day. I made a beef roast in the crock pot this week and it was so good! So good we ate the whole thing in one sitting. It was a pretty small roast. I've been watching a lot of baby shows like 'I'm Having Their Baby' and 'Maternity Ward' lately.  They really make me want to meet my little man. Baby Girl is going through some kind of sleep regression right now. Mommy does not like the 4:30am and 6am wake up calls. Oh and the boycott on food is getting old too. I'm so excited for my baby shower this weekend. I can't wait to see everyone! I can't believe I only have 6 weeks left bef

Friday's Letters

Dear Baby Girl, let me tell you how happy I am that you gobbled up your dinner last night after a week of boycotting.  Not sure what it was about the mac and cheese at Friendly's but you loved it.  And you ate almost all of your ice cream, which you never do!    Dear Baby #2, dude...you have to chill.  Your pouncing on my bladder every five seconds isn't making me very happy.  Dear weekend, I think you're going to be pretty chill and I'm happy about that.  I need a break. Dear baby shower, I'm getting more excited for you.  I'm excited to see some friends and eat some food and ooh and aww over some cute baby stuff, especially since I don't really have any cute baby stuff for Little Man yet! Dear Summer, where did you go?  I mean we only have like ten more weeks of you left.    Dear work, this is it...my last day.  I can't really say that I will miss you...at least not yet.  Hopefully this stay at home Mom thing works out for me

If I Had a Million Dollhairs....

Linking up with Holly from Where We Can Live Like Jack and Sally .     Of course if I won the lottery, I would do practical things with the money like set some aside for college tuition for my kids, give some to my parents for whatever they needed, donate some to charity, pay off my college loans.  But what would I love to do with some of that money?   1.  Buy the house and land that we really want.  We are planning to move to a 13 acre property and my husband is ridiculous over it.  Lots of land just like he wants and a safe place for our kids to grow up.  The problem?  I'm not a big fan of the house.  It isn't nearly big enough for what I want and it needs a lot of renovations.  I'm all for having land, but let's buy land with a nice house on it.   2.  Buy myself the Lexus I've always wanted.  I am really in love with the RX but I want third row seating so I'll settle for the GX or the LX.  Not that I don't love my BMW but there's

Weekend Recap

This is what my kid looked like when I picked her up last Wednesday from my Mom's house. Apparently she was playing in the sand and the mulch. The dress was completely ruined and she screamed her head off when I sprayed her down in the bath tub.   Thursday was a lazy day.  Baby Girl played with her water table for a while in the morning.  She wasn't too fond of getting wet at first but she was OK after a little while.  Being outside in the heat wore her out pretty quickly, though.  After another quick rinse off, she took a nice, long nap.     We also decided to venture out to Target Thursday night for a few things.  I decided the baby wanted pizza for dinner so we grabbed some frozen stuff and made it at home.  Too bad I burned the crap out of my arm getting it out of the oven.     Friday was another somewhat lazy day.  I spent the day cleaning while Baby Girl watched some movies.  I took a lot of breaks to play with her and just sit and watch the movi

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if... I haven't blogged since last Wednesday mostly because I was off work from Thursday to Sunday.  This kind of scares me.  I'll save that for another post. I'm done working on Friday! I was thinking about canceling my baby shower because no one responded.  Of course we had last minute respondents so it's on but it's so annoying. I burned my arm over the weekend on the oven.  It hurt like hell. I finally bought Ashlyn a baby doll and stroller set only to realize, once we got home and had it out of the box, that it was actually a double stroller with two baby dolls.  Now I want to return it because I don't want the double baby doll stroller adding to the toy clutter.  And does she really need two dolls? I found knock off thin mints and caramel delights at our grocery store.  And they were on sale.  Why have I never seen these before?! We took Baby Girl to a carnival but didn't take her on any rides.  Instead

31 Week Bumpdate

The heart rate today was 160 and all is well. Little Man is so active.  I don't really know when this kid sleeps because it seems like he is always moving.  He especially likes to kick whenever I am laying down.  According to the doctor's scale, I lost a pound.  It's no wonder since I have been so sick lately.  Last Friday I was up all night sick and the doctor said there was a GI bug going around.  The last two days I have been really nauseous and throwing up but I'm starting to feel better. Despite the heat and humidity, the swelling has not been bad.  I am surprised by this but I'm not complaining.  I still try to wear long pants all the time in case those elephant ankles surprise me.    Other than that, the normal heartburn and backaches come and go and I'm crazy tired but I don't really have any other issues. I have been having some lower back cramps but the doctor doesn't seem concerned.  I don't ever sleep through the ni

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if... We had such a busy weekend and I still don't feel like I've caught up on sleep.  Third trimester is really tiring! Baby Girl was a dancing machine at the wedding we attended Saturday.  She loved the music and danced her little legs off! We didn't get any family pictures at the wedding even though we were all dressed up.  I hate it when that happens. Little Man had decided that he's not such a big fan of food lately.  I'm really sick of feeling nauseous and getting sick so much lately. I am officially 8 months pregnant (as of July 1st) and can't wait to be ZERO months pregnant.  The mixture of heat and people telling me I look like I'm going to pop is wearing me thin. July 12th is my official last day of work and I can't wait. Daycare is closed Thursday and Friday this week but I still have to pay for a full week.  Um...why are you closed Friday? I can't stand Justin Bieber.  He's a little b
