So What Wednesday (or Thursday)

Check out Shannon at  Life After I Dew  for So What Wednesday. So what if: ~I forgot to post this yesterday.  It's been a busy week. ~I'm nesting hardcore.  Baby clothes are washed and put away, diapers are set up, rearranging and organizing is taking place.  It's been fun. ~I am excited for my doctor's appointment on Monday but also dreading it.  I'm pretty sure we are going to be dealing with some preeclampsia this time around again so that makes me nervous. ~I'm obsessed with Making a Murderer.  I have 3 or 4 episodes left but now I want to read all the articles that show why he's guilty.  The show is not convincing. ~My husband and I are also kind of obsessed with The 100.  We started watching it on Netflix and now we are totally drawn in. ~My kitchen is ALWAYS a mess.  There are always dishes to be done, counters to be cleaned, floors to be washed.  It's annoying that my kitchen just never stays clean. ~I'm really looking forward

2016 Goals

I feel like the goals I have are always able to be improved upon so they are easy to recycle from year to year.  With last year being such an emotional year, I felt the need to evaluate my recycled goals and create some new ones.  My word for 2015 is We need to make a lot of changes in our lives this year if we want to keep our happiness and our sanity in check.  All of my goals for 2016 revolve around this word.  I can only hope that by the end of 2016, I can truly say that we have changed for the better. Leave the past where it belongs - 2015 really showed us the best and worst of people.  We had some people who were just amazing and stuck with us during the worst time in our lives.  We also had some people who decided our situations weren't important and just didn't bother with us.  We have had to end these toxic relationships but I have been having a hard time leaving them in the past. For 2016, I really need to just let these people go.  I don't use the word

2015 Goals in Review

Here is my review of the 2015 goals I had set for myself. Lose weight - I am looking to lost at least another 20-30lbs this year.  I lost about 25lbs last year but I want to keep going.  I've been stuck in a rut lately and need to dig myself out of it and get back on track.  I also want to eat healthier and live healthier all around. ~I pretty much stayed the same weigh throughout the year.  Since my husband spent the entire year on and off of Whole30, eating habits have changed and have become more healthy.  There's still room for improvement here. Budget - we have never had a budget.  We have never really needed to have one.  Now that I am not working and we are surviving on one income, a budget is in order.  I need to get this done.  We are so used to just buying whatever we want and not thinking twice about it but we really need to sit and think about what's important with our finances. ~We still have not set a budget!  We are so bad with this.  2016 will be t

2015 in Review - Part 2

You can see the first half of our year here  2015 in Review Part 1 July was a busy month.  We took a little time off to celebrate 4th of July with some friends.  A fun time, as always.  Our local movie theaters have free movies over the summer so I took the kids to see their first movie.  They did very well. We celebrated my Dad's birthday and did a lot more house work. August was mostly just focused on the house.  We had a big push on work so that we could get moved in by the end of the month.  We were so happy to finally be able to move. We even got to celebrate Bryan's second birthday in the new house!  The little, stinky two year old had a great birthday.  He also had a great 2 year check up.  28.2lbs and 37 inches of wild little boy. The week after we moved into our new home, we got some more really amazing news. September was a crazy month.  I decided that I wanted to throw a surprise 75th birthday party for my grandmother
