Friday's Letters

Dear Baby Girl,  we are pretty impressed by your lack of enthusiasm for your Christmas gifts.  You opened our gifts at home but wanted nothing to do with gifts the rest of the day.  That's pretty impressive for a two year old.  Shows us that we are really teaching you what is valuable in life.  Let's see how you do next year.   Dear Little Man,  you ripped off more wrapping paper than your big sister!  You also seemed quite happy with your gifts.  Lots of things that jingle and that you can grab onto. Dear 2013, you were pretty great (minus a few sad endings).  Let's see what 2014 has to bring!   Dear Beamer, I'm glad we got you fixed but it's time for you to go.  I love you but I'm sorry.  I can't be crossing my fingers in hopes that you will start.  I need something more reliable.  We will be parting ways very soon my friend. Dear Christmas, you were hectic but you rocked. Dear SWW, I can't believe I missed you this week

Friday's Letters

Dear Baby Girl,  I still can't believe you are two.  You have been the sweetest little girl and I can't even believe how lucky I am to be able to call you mine.  I see the terrible twos coming out of you slowly but we still have more good days than bad so I'll take it!   Dear Little Man,  you, my little boy, have just been so sweet.  You are the happiest little baby just like your sister.  Your sleeping has been better and you totally rocked your 4 month appointment.  You are growing like a weed and I can't even tell you how much I love your little laugh.  Oh and that smile....kills me! Dear family photos, you were awesome!  We got so many cute pictures! Dear Wal-Mart, you did a great job with our Christmas card but why do you always suck with prints?  You always cut the heads off in prints.  I just don't understand how you can screw up something so easy.  Dear Christmas presents,  I promise to wrap you soon.  Dear Diamond Candles, you

Christmas Card

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying So What if... Most days I don't get to eat breakfast until lunch time  Both kids always manage to wake up and want to eat at the same time. We took both kids for their check ups on Monday.  I thought Ashlyn was going to get some shots but she didn't.  So thankful for that.  Little Guy was a champ for his. I'm so glad we got Baby Girl a kitchen for her birthday but I forgot about how much fake food I would have to eat and how much fake tea I would have to drink. Little Man is sleeping in his crib now and it makes me very happy.  We still don't have a great sleeping pattern down but at least he is in the crib. I have a feeling we are going to need a bigger house to just accommodate all the toys my mom and grandmother bought baby girl for Christmas. My wonderful German POS vehicle has basically decided to take a shit.  We have to have it towed to the mechanic and I am vehicle-less. I am having a sever c

Friday's Letter

Dear Nan, I'm so saddened by your passing that I feel the need to dedicate today's letters to you only.  You passed away on Sunday, just after I left from visiting you.  While I'm glad I got to see you one more time, I am haunted by the fact that if I had just stayed a little bit longer, you wouldn't have been alone.  It was hard to see you unresponsive and struggling to breath.  It was hard see you, once the big traveler, singer, piano player, in that way.  But I knew I needed to see you.  I honestly wasn't expecting you to pass so quickly.  I wanted to call the Chaplin before we left but thought I would have more time.  I thought maybe I'd come back the next day and call on him then but I was out of time. Even though your mind wandered the past few years and you didn't really know who many of your family members were anymore, you were always happy to see people.  Your face always brightened and you always smiled from ear to ear.  You always sa

2013 Family Photos

We had our photographer take our family photos at a local museum.  We have had photos taken there before so we knew what to expect.  My husband wanted something other than the typical standing-in-front-of-the-tree picture for our Christmas card.  These pictures represented our family photos, Ashlyn's two year photos and Bryan's (almost) four month photos.  Sorry for the overload but they are all so cute! Bonus points if you can guess which one I used for our Christmas card this year!  Speaking of Christmas cards, I love receiving Christmas cards so if anyone would like a Christmas card from us, email me with your address and I'll send you one!  herecomesthehuman @hotmail.com

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying So What if... I have two year old and I haven't blogged about it yet.  I have a post started but will probably wait to post it after her two year check up next week. None of the things we had intended on doing on Sunday for her birthday happened.  None of those things happened because my grandmother died Sunday.  The rest of my list seems pretty pointless after that last one so I'm done for today.

Five on Friday

ONE I got these personalized stockings for Christmas and I LOVE them!  I'm so glad I ordered them!     TWO I am officially done with my Christmas shopping.  I am so excited that I got it done already and won't have to scramble for last minute gifts.  Now I'm excited to sort them all out and wrap them.  Yes, I am one of those people who sorts gifts by the person and then wraps each person's gifts in the same paper.  I also love to decorate with bows and ribbons.    THREE   Our weather this week.....no winter coats needed.  It was kind of nice to not have blistery, cold weather this week.  At the same time, I'm ready for some snow.        FOUR   I broke down and bought one of these dam candles.  I'm kind of excited to get it, burn it and see what kind of ring I get.  I plan to burn the thing all day long the day I get it because I'm very impatient and want my ring right away.  I got one for my Mom too.      FIVE

Friday's Letters

Dear Baby Girl,  we are about to celebrate your 2nd birthday and Mommy is just a little sad about that.  It feels like just yesterday you were the size of your baby brother but here you are, my little (almost) two year old.  You are more amazing every single day and I couldn't be more proud to call you my daughter. Dear Little Man,  I think we might be getting on track with your sleeping.  I don't want to talk about it because every time I do, you have some set backs so all I will say is keep it up buddy. Dear Christmas,  only a few more weeks.  I can't wait!  Dear Parenthood,  where are you?  I haven't seen you in like two weeks.  Was the election episode the finale?  If it was, you could have warned me! Dear family photos, I got a sneak preview of you and I can't wait to see the rest.  Even though the kids weren't the most cooperative, I think we got some great photos.  Can't wait to get our Christmas card sent out! (If you a

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying So What if... I haven't posted anything since last Wednesday.  I don't mind that as much as I mind falling behind on my blog reading.  Black Friday shopping was not nearly as bad as I expected it to be. I can't wait to get our family photos.  I'm really hoping for some awesome pictures! I was sad that none of my shows aired during the week of Thanksgiving.  Happy they are back this week! I feel like some of my blog friends are better friends than my real life friends. I have some big news to share but I don't want to say anything until I'm 100% sure it's going to work because I don't want to jinx it.  (no I'm not pregnant LOL) I love how much imaginative play Baby Girl is doing lately.  It's so cute to catch her talking to her toys and making them dance and sing. I can't believe my Baby Girl is going to be two years old in a few days. Instead of having a birthday
