Fab Fridays

This week, I think these things are Fabulous!    The show Parenthood.  It's just such an awesome show.  It really hits on so many issues that people have with parenting.  I mean it covers so many different situations.  Adoption, cancer, Autism, military, single parenting, in laws.  This show has it all.   Grey's Anatomy.  I think I missed an episode but last night's episode was A.Maz.Ing.  I mean it was funny and happy and sad and just awesome!   Scandal.  This show has me so hooked.    Payless.  I ordered five pairs of shoes for Baby Girl for a decent price.  I was actually surprised by their selection and their prices.  Why are toddler shoes so expensive?!   Old Navy.  I scored some great deals online and used a gift card.  Score!   Hockey.  The season is finally beginning!!!!  Oh and we are going to another game tomorrow nig...

Friday's Letters

Linking up with The Sweet Season for Friday's Letters   Dear Baby Girl, I'm sorry that you haven't been able to spend much time with Daddy the past few days but he is very sick and we don't want you to catch his sickness so that means you have to stay away.  The good news is that you get to go to your second hockey game tomorrow night! Dear husband, I am sorry that I have been treating you as if you have the plague but I really don't want to catch your sickness and I certainly don't want Baby Girl to catch it. Let's hope you get over it quickly!   Dear Grey's, ah you did not disappoint.  What an awesome and sad episode.  I think I may have missed an episode somewhere along the lines, though, so I will have to check my DVR.   Dear Parenthood, I have missed you. I honestly just keep forgetting when you're on. I will catch up on the missed episodes and be prepared for you next week. Dear Scandal, I've missed quite a few...

Pay it Forward: The First 5...

I saw this on Tiffany's blog  Little Gems  and decided I had to participate!  You can read her original post here: Pay it Forward: The First 5.... .  I always get very excited when I get something in the mail other than bills or junk!  I love getting personal cards or gifts from friends via snail mail.  Mailing anything these days takes a little extra time so I think it's special that people are willing to take that extra time to send me something.  That's why this is so exciting for me! The first five people to comment on this post with their email address and blog address (if you have one) will receive a special gift from me sometime in this calendar year.  It could be anything at any time.  A candle, a book, a seasonal decoration - a surprise!  There will be no warning, it will happen whenever the mood strikes me!  (It will probably happen sooner rather than later because I get too excited about this kind of stuff a...

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if... Baby Girl woke up at 1am screaming.  She needed a little bit of cuddling and fell back to sleep.  This means ear infection or more teeth. My husband is sick and I'm treating him like he has the plague.  I don't want to catch that shit and I certainly don't want Baby Girl to catch it! I still haven't sent out the thank you cards for Baby Girl's birthday.  I am so bad with this stuff.  I will get them done this weekend.  Maybe. I just don't ever feel like I'm getting enough sleep, even when I go to bed early! Our trip to  Longwood Gardens  wasn't quite what I had expected but it was still fun.  I can't wait to take Baby Girl to her second hockey game this weekend.  Two games in one month!  And we have tickets for a third game! I actually like American Horror Story.  I didn't think that I would but I watched an episode one night and have been hooked ever since. I am so sick of...

Let Me Count the Ways

I came across this article and wanted to share it for Fitness Friday: 64 Ways to Burn 100 Calories .  Yes, I know it's Tuesday but that's ok. These are some of the easiest ways to burn 100 calories and who doesn't want an easy way to burn some pesky calories?  Some of these are a little much like #19 but then some of them are so easy like #8 and #9.  Which ones do you think you can do on a regular basis?  I highlighted ten of the easiest ones for me to do! 1.  Do Pilates for 25 minutes 2.  Do Tai Chi for 22 minutes 3.  Practice Vinyasa Yoga for 13 minutes 4.  Do step aerobics for 10 minutes 5.  Hit the ballroom dance floor for 16 minutes 6.  Play the drums for 22 minutes 7.  Iron your clothes for 38 minutes 8.  Spend 44 minutes getting ready in the morning 9.  Shop at the mall for 38 minutes 10.  Get frisky for an hour 11.  Scrub your floors on your hands and knees for 23 minutes 12.  Vacuum y...

Randoms

I just wanted to share a few randoms.  Things that I didn't get to share in any of my other posts in the past few weeks.  Fun stuff! I mentioned that we were taking Baby Girl to her first hockey game and that she loved it!  We know that she wasn't actually following the game but she was watching like a hawk.  She got antsy a few times but for the most part she was awesome.  She was even yelling at the players!  She didn't like the mascot at all and she even took a nap in the middle of the game! We kind of figured she would like hockey since at only 2.5 months old, she sat quietly and watched an entire game with Daddy!   This was after seeing the mascot :(   And then she took a nap!      Baby Girl has decided that she wants to climb up on everything.  She climbed her little butt right up onto our one step footstool.  Don't worry, Daddy was right next to her. Chillin in her zebra chair ...

One Last Christmas Stop

We decided to go to Longwood Gardens this for the Christmas lights that they have every year.  Check out their website for more information.  The place is huge and it's beautiful and while were weren't really impressed with the Christmas lights, we do plan to go back over the summer to see all of the gardens they have. Of course it was dark out so the pictures aren't the best but here are they are...   The first thing we came across...they were stakes in the ground with lights on top so it looked like a field of lights and they changed color.   We enjoyed all of the red trees      These were giant snowflakes hanging in the trees    They had these trees out on the water    They had this huge tree house.  Baby Girl wasn't impressed    This was the entrance to one of the buildings.  Loved the stars hanging.     And then they had table set up ...
