Update 10/17/11

How far along: 31 weeks 6 days, 57 days to go! Size of baby: Still the size of a squash but I feel like the size of a honeydew!Maternity Clothes: So far I love all of the Fall stuff I just got! Gender: Baby Girl! Movement: Lots and lots! What I miss: My energy! Cravings: I'm not really craving much of anything. Symptoms: A lot of aches and pains going on but nothing serious! I'm disappointed because I thought I was getting an ultrasound today but I didn't. I was looking forward to seeing how big my little monster is! My husband asked if we missed one because he thought it was today too and the receptionist said no. She said she would put us in for one so we will see if she does. I go back in 2 weeks! Looks like everything is measuring properly and I only gained 2 pounds! Her heart rate was 145 today. The only thing I have to do is take 2 iron pills instead of one. I think I can handle that! I'm still feeling pretty good, aside from being tired and aside from being sick....

Update 07/21/11

How far along: 19 weeks Size of baby: The size of a mango Maternity Clothes: I haven't bought anything new since my last online shopping spree but I am loving my maternity clothes. Gender: Still unknown!! Find out August 1st! 11 days! Movement: Although the baby is moving around in there, I still can't feel a thing as far as I know. I should start to feel her moving soon. What I miss: My energy! I am still so very tired. Cravings: Mostly carbs like potatoes, cheese fries, pasta, cheddar gold fish and still sweets! Symptoms: I'm still very tired all of the time but I haven't been having too much trouble with headaches. I am still very moody and my ankles swell up at the drop of a hat. We are still waiting to feel this baby move!! I have not felt any movement yet, that I'm aware of. I think we are both overly excited for that. No baby movement = me more anxious to get to my next appointment and make sure everything is ok in there! Aside from the terrible mood swings a...

Gender: Still unknown!! Find out August 1st! 18 days! Movement: Although the baby is moving around in there, I still can't feel a thing as far as I know. I should start to feel her moving soon. What I miss: My energy! I am still so very tired. Cravings: Mostly carbs like potatoes, cheese fries, pasta and still sweets! Symptoms: I'm still very tired all of the time and I am still getting headaches, but they are not quite as bad as they were. I am still very moody and my ankles swell up at the drop of a hat. Boy is my belly growing! I am noticing a huge difference in the size of my bump within the last week or two. My husband has even noticed it. He is excited, of course, because he knows that we should be able to feel the baby soon and I know that once that happens, he won't keep his ha...

To Touch or Not To Touch...

...the baby bump that is! Question of the week: Is it ok for complete strangers to walk up to you and touch your baby bump? What about family members and friends? I have a serious issue with touching to begin with. The request is simple: Don't touch me! I don't like to be hugged. I don't like to be touched on the shoulder while you are talking to me. I especially don't like close talkers. I need my space! I need that space more now than ever. I absolutely DO NOT think that it is ok for ANYONE to touch the baby bump, especially without asking! The only person who gets a free pass to touch the bump at any time is my husband, and maybe my Mom. As far as strangers go, you don't just walk up to a complete stranger and touch their belly. I wouldn't even walk up to a stranger and ask to touch their belly. That's just weird and rude. Why would anyone do that? Why would you want to touch some random person's belly? And why would they let you?! As far as family...
