Friday's Letters

Linking up with The Sweet Season for Friday's Letters Dear Baby Girl, I'm so sorry that you have another ear infection.  Now we have to go see the Ear, Nose and Throat specialist and talk about some tubes.  I'm really hoping we don't have to deal with that just yet but we will decide when the times comes.  You have been such a little trooper and Mommy thanks you for taking your medicine so easily, even though I know it's probably really gross! Dear Baby #2, thank you!!  Almost 10 weeks and still not a pound gained!!  I'm pretty sure I had already gained 5 pounds with Baby Girl by this point so thank you!!  Now let's keep it going until my next doctor's appointment. Dear CVS, you have got to be the worst Pharmacy I have ever visited!  I waited in the drive thru line for what felt like forever before I finally decided to give up and go inside in the pouring rain.  Then I stood in line to wait for my daughter's prescription ...

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if... My husband is sick and sleeping on the couch again.  It sucks but it's for the best.  My husband and I want to get a 'new' vehicle even though we've only had the Beamer for a year and a half.  I love that thing but two car sets, a double stroller and all the other crap you have to carry around with a newborn?  Not gonna work. I finally got my new iPod hooked up and I love it!  Now I just need a new pair of ear buds.  I love the Skullcandy buds. We went to 3 different stores on Sunday looking for new puzzle floor mats for Baby Girl to play on and we found NONE!  I was very angry.  Baby Girl has another ear infection.  Now it's time for a visit to the ear, nose and throat specialist.  I'm really hoping they won't suggest tubes. I gave Baby Girl some of the marshmallows from my lucky charms for breakfast because I felt bad for dragging her to the doctor at 8:30 last night....

Tuesday Topics: 6 Memories

Linking up with Tiffany from The Austin Family Diary for My six memories: The day my Grandmother had a heart attack.   I know this is a sad memory but it's a big one.  I was the one who took my Grandmother to the ER because she felt like she had the flu.  I was the one who stayed with her until 4am, to finally find out that she had a heart attack.  I was there at 6am to see her off to her open heart surgery, which turned into a quadruple bypass.  3 1/2 years later, she has had issues with her diabetes and hernias, kidney problems, a pace maker placed and breast cancer.  She has gone through a lot in the past few years but she has always fought through.  She's one tough cookie!   The day I graduated from college. Of course I can't find any of the pictures we took for this but that's OK.  It was really important to me because it took me 15 semesters to graduate!  That's 7 1/2 years!  I went to college full ti...

Fab Fridays

This week, I think these things are Fabulous!     I announced my pregnancy.  I just couldn't hold it in any longer.  We were telling people anyway so why not just announce it.  It took a little while for people to notice the t-shirt!   We have nothing planned for this weekend.  It's been a long time since that has happened so I'm looking forward to it.   I literally just found out that our local hospital has an 'elegant dining' option where my husband and I can both order steaks and shrimp and all kinds of awesome food during our next baby stay!   I already started a registry for Baby #2.  Yes I know he or she is only (almost) 9 weeks old, but Babies R Us is offering the chance to win a $250 gift card.  I'm jumping all over that!

Friday's Letters

Linking up with The Sweet Season for Friday's Letters Dear Baby Girl,  it's like you've been walking for years.  You're a little pro.  I love the way you shuffle around the house now, walking from room to room to find something to get into! Dear Baby #2, do you think that you could crave some more healthy foods? First time around it was all sweets.  How about some salads this time?  Kudos to you for not making me gain any weight so far.  No kudos for not ever letting me finish a meal without wanting to vomit. Dear snow, I know we aren't supposed to get too much of you but it would be really cool if you could just dump a little bit our way.  I may be the only one in this city who actually likes you!  Dear weekend, we have NOTHING planned for you and I am OOBER excited. Dear Husband, I really think it's time to take the Christmas lights down.  We can replace them with red lights for Valenti...

Heavy Heart

I apologize in advance because this is a sad and heavy post. It seems like for every one happy article I find, there are five bad ones.  I was so happy to read the article yesterday praising a man for defending a little boy with Down Syndrome (See Warms My Heart .  And then today, I find articles that just completely blow my mind in the other direction and give me such a heavy heart. Any one of these articles will make you cry if you read them so proceed with caution. Step mom Convicted in Death of Boy Father Sentenced to 80 Years in Death of Son Parents Jailed as Human Remains Discovered Ohio Couple Admits Forcing Kids Into Plastic Boxes I just don't understand it.  These are our children.  Our innocent little babies.  I know we get frustrated with them.  I know we yell at them.  I know that some of us spank our kids.  But putting our children in dog cages?  Putting them in plastic containers?  Depriving them of wat...

Coffee Talk

I don't usually post anything on Thursdays or link up but I am today. Linking up with 23SEVENTEEN for the first time for   1.  Do you drink the milk after eating the cereal or do you dump it out? Actually, I keep filling up my cereal bowl with cereal until all the milk is gone!  2.  Do you share drinks/food? It depends on who I'm sharing with.  I always share my food with my daughter but not my drink (no backwash please).  I don't mind sharing food with my husband but I will not share a drink with him because he drinks the whole thing and that just irritates me! 3.  How often do you replace your toothbrush? I try to replace it whenever I notice the bristles getting shabby.  Or I replace it after I've gotten over a cold. 4.  How often do you wash your hair? Every other day.  Any more than that and my hair drys out. 5.  Do you use a dishwasher or do you hand wash your dishes? Ugh, h...
