So What Wednesdays

This week, I'm saying so what if...

  • I have no pictures to show for our Memorial Day weekend because 1. Baby Girl was sick the whole time and, therefore, naked and I don't like to post naked pics that she could yell at me for later, 2.  We didn't do anything worth taking a pictures of!
  • The bouncer I have been dying to buy for Baby Girl is sold in none of the stores I have been willing to travel to so far.  I'm thinking an online purchase will be made in the very near future.
  • I am not taking off Friday for my birthday now since I had to take off last Friday for Baby Girl's illness.  Still taking a half day!
  • I am more tired now that when Baby Girl first came home.  Her little sickness is kicking my ass more than it's kicking hers.
  • My phone is making this weird noise every time it rings or I get a message.
  • My phone is making that noise because I threw it across a room because I was angry that I didn't realize the Chinese food I ordered was wrong until after I got it home.  (oops)
  • I want to bang my head on my desk repeatedly to keep myself awake because Baby Girl hasn't slept through the night in 7 days.  They say sleep is overrated.  I highly disagree.
What are you saying so what to this week?

  1. I am the worst about throwing my phone when I get angry! I'm so surprised I haven't cracked it yet

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,

I'm Not Gonna Lie

Anyone who knows me know that I LOVE Christmas.  I love the decorations.  I love to decorate my own house and see all of the other cool decorations other people have.  There is a house down the street from us that always has more lights and decorations than I have ever seen in one yard.  It's a bit much but it's an attention grabber. I love the Christmas tree.  I love to get the tree out each year (yes we have a fake because I can't stand the needles) and I love to decorate it.  Growing up, our family would decorate the tree together with all kinds of ornaments that we had collected over the years.  I like to do themes for my trees.  Last year I did pink and silver in honor of the newest member of our family.  I'm really hoping to instill the tradition of decorating the tree with my kids. I love finding the perfect gifts for people and I love to watch their reactions when they open those gifts.  I generally wait until I have purchased ALL of my gifts, I sort them

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass
