So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if... My 30th birthday is in 16 days and my husband still doesn't have the party planned. I really want to hang some pictures on our walls but I don't see the point if we are just going to be moving in a few months.  Yes, we have bare walls and I hate it. My husband's Father's Day gifts might arrive before my Mom's Mother's Day gift arrives!  I'm going to be giving Origami Owl an earful! I'm really bored with the whole Angelina's boobs story.  I agree that what she did is a big deal but a hero?  Give me a break.  How about all of the other women who don't have a choice but to have mascectomys?  How about the ones who can't afford the reconstruction surgery?  These people don't get the recognition she is getting and they are the real heroes. I think I can repeat every line from the movie Wall-E because it's pretty much plays on repeat at our house lately. Baby Girl's car seat is k...

The Pursuit of Happyness

Day 14:  10 things that make you really happy. 10.  You know how your dryer is hooked to a tube that vents outside?  You ever go outside and smell it?  I love that smell.  Especially when it's my daughter's clothing drying because I love the smell of her laundry detergent. 9.  Fresh flowers.  I know they wither and die but it's so refreshing to have fresh flowers in your house or your yard.  My favorite flowers are lilies, but this year, it's the red tulips I see everywhere that have made me smile. 8.  I make lists for everything.  Grocery shopping, house cleaning, vacation packing.  It always makes me feel so accomplished when I can cross things off my lists. 7.  A clean house.  I always feel so much better after cleaning the house. 6.  That smell in the air just before it's going to snow.  Gah...I love snow! 5.  My Grandmother's cut out cookies with icing.  She only makes these ar...

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope that all of the Moms out there had as great of a Mother's Day as I did!! My day started off with snuggles from my little girl.  Daddy was trying to let me sleep in but he was so busy getting breakfast ready that he didn't hear the little one so I went to get her when she woke up.  I really didn't mind.  I love her little smiles and snuggles in the morning! We enjoyed a nice breakfast made by Daddy while we watched Wall-E, which is the only movie we watch lately.  Baby Girl got me mother/daughter charms for my Charmed Memories bracelet.  Daddy says we have to get her a necklace now so we can match!  I also got a little boy charm to add to my bracelet and an I love you charm. Daddy got me another Willow Tree figurine and a nice little Mother picture frame.  I told him that this was not an acceptable Willow Tree figurine because our Baby Girl is just not that big yet!  It goes nicely with the collection, though.   My husban...

Friday's Letters

Dear Baby Girl, I'm not sure what has gotten into you lately but you are the cutest little thing ever.  You have been giving so many hugs and saying so many I love yous it's unreal!  And of course, once again, because of your brother's appointment yesterday, I forgot to mention that you turned 17 months.  You are getting so big!   Dear Baby #2, ah my little man.  I can't wait to see you again in a few weeks.  I am loving all of your little kicks and jabs and I can't wait for you to start your hiccups!   Dear Grey's, I am so frigging excited for your season finale.  Please, please, please let the Grey baby live!  I don't know how I will ever watch you again if you don't.  Oh and the whole thing with Arizona?  Not cool. Dear husband, making plans is one thing.  Forgetting to tell me the date of said plans is another.  Scrambling for a babysitter is not fun! Dear ankles, you are starting to...

Embarrassment

Day 10:  Most embarrassing moment (s).  Spill. I honestly don't get embarrassed very easily.  I just kind of take things in and try to own up to any quirks I have that may pass off as embarrassing.  My daughter, she doesn't embarrass me one bit.  Not even when she is screaming at the top of her lungs through the grocery store. I think any embarrassing moments I have had in my life probably all involved alcohol in some way or another.  Sad...I know.  So I call upon a time before the little one, when we were at a friend's house.  We were all enjoying some alcoholic beverages and some food and just hanging out.  I don't really remember what exactly happened but I do remember trying to walk outside and forgetting to open the screen door. So there is me, laying on their deck with a ripped screen surrounding me. Oops. At least I didn't want into the glass I guess.  I laughed it off and the only real reason I can even say I might b...

23 Week Bumpdate

I can't believe I'm six months pregnant already.  It really hit me when the doctor said that after my next appointment in four weeks, I will have to visit every two weeks.  That's crazy!   The heart rate today was 142 and all is well.   The little man is kicking a lot now.  My husband has only felt him two times but he isn't really patient enough to sit and wait for it.  I love to feel those kicks, even when he does make me feel like I'm going to pee in my pants! I'm now up 7 pounds, only 4 since the last appointment.  I was worried this time because I felt like I grew so much and gained so much but I guess not!  I still have all of my normal symptoms:  blazing heartburn, headaches that come and go, sore boobs, backaches, tired beyond belief and sore gums.  My gums bleed like crazy whenever I brush them.  Oh and I usually wake up around 4:30am to pee! One of the newest symptoms this week is Braxton hicks ...

One Moment

Day 9: A moment in your day (this can be just a photo or both a photo and words). This is probably the easiest post I'll have for the 30 day challenge. I take a picture of my daughter every day before I take her to daycare so I can send it to my husband.  I do this because he works a lot of hours and doesn't get to see her a lot.  He enjoys receiving his picture every day and will ask me if I dont' send it right away! So here is today's picture: She is almost always smiling in these pictures and it makes me happy that I get to send such cute pictures to Daddy every day!
