So What Wednesday

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if...
  • I am 39 weeks pregnant today. Isn't it over yet?
  • I never posted my Bumpdate last week. I will do one today.
  • I have woken up way too early the past few days. Heartburn and headaches have taken over my life. Oh and hunger.
  • I was very disappointed when I bought the wrong cupcakes this week. I didn't realize it until I got home. I will still eat them.
  • I'm so tired of being stared at. Seriously...it's like people have never seen a pregnant woman before!
  • I'm slightly jealous of all the bloggers who have just recently had their babies....mainly because I'm so tired of being pregnant! Congrats to them, though!
  • Baby Girl has been so sweet lately but she has been fighting me on naps and bed time. Kid doesn't want to miss anything.
  • Baby Girl has developed this adorable little smile that gets her pretty much whatever she wants. She tilts her head, scrunches her nose and smiles. It's priceless.
  • All Baby Girl wants to watch lately is Rio. Cute movie but all I can think about when I watch it is how the bird thief is the yoga guy from Couples Retreat. Boom!

  2. Visiting from SWW! Hopefully it is not too much longer before you meet your baby boy! You're almost there! What kind of cupcakes did you want? I have been wanting to buy some cupcake recently but the one place is always closed when I am out and about!

  3. Rio - I can only take that movie so many times. But when my daughter "comes at me like a love hawk" I die! Hope it becomes baby time soon!

  4. I'm jealous of all the new babies too and I have till December. :o) My kid has been fighting me on naps lately too. I'm over it! BUT thankfully I can leave her in her crib for 2 hours so I get somewhat of a break. I just have to listen to her talk/play/say 'oh no' for those 2 hours.

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,

I'm Not Gonna Lie

Anyone who knows me know that I LOVE Christmas.  I love the decorations.  I love to decorate my own house and see all of the other cool decorations other people have.  There is a house down the street from us that always has more lights and decorations than I have ever seen in one yard.  It's a bit much but it's an attention grabber. I love the Christmas tree.  I love to get the tree out each year (yes we have a fake because I can't stand the needles) and I love to decorate it.  Growing up, our family would decorate the tree together with all kinds of ornaments that we had collected over the years.  I like to do themes for my trees.  Last year I did pink and silver in honor of the newest member of our family.  I'm really hoping to instill the tradition of decorating the tree with my kids. I love finding the perfect gifts for people and I love to watch their reactions when they open those gifts.  I generally wait until I have purchased ALL of my gifts, I sort them

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass
