So What Wednesday

Life After I Dew

This week, I'm saying So What if...
  • As soon as I switched Little Man to the bigger bottle, he stopped drinking as much.
  • Baby Girl is going through an I'm-not-going-to-listen-to-anything-you-have-to-say phase. Selective hearing seems to be her talent.
  • Little Man slept for 5 hours straight last night. It was glorious.
  • Little Man has thrush and I didn't even see it. How did I not see that? Now the poor little guy has to take this medicine 4 times a day for 10 days and he hates it. (More on that in his 2 month post)
  • The fall festival season is almost over and we haven't been to a single one. We are going to one this Sunday finally.
  • I'm excited to get the renovations on our house started. I've been measuring and planning and sketching all week!
  • I watch re-runs of Grey's every day. They show two episodes every day on Lifetime.
  • I hate the little spider logo that is on the corner of the HGTV channel. It freaks me out every time I see it.
  • I keep eating the M&Ms we got for Baby Girl for when she goes on the potty. That's not helping my diet at all.
  • I am kind of excited that we are car shopping. I love my Beamer and I'm going to be sad to see it go but it will be nice to not have to have more space.
  • Baby Girl and I went pink for October!

  1. Mackenzie has listening issues on a daily basis.
Have fun car shopping! We had a VW Passat 2013 loaner car this past weekend and it was a lot of fun. Makes me wish we could have a newer upgraded car. :)

  2. Boo about thrush. Does he white on his cheeks and lips? Alex has a white tongue, but I've read that is normal with breastfeeding.

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,

I'm Not Gonna Lie

Anyone who knows me know that I LOVE Christmas.  I love the decorations.  I love to decorate my own house and see all of the other cool decorations other people have.  There is a house down the street from us that always has more lights and decorations than I have ever seen in one yard.  It's a bit much but it's an attention grabber. I love the Christmas tree.  I love to get the tree out each year (yes we have a fake because I can't stand the needles) and I love to decorate it.  Growing up, our family would decorate the tree together with all kinds of ornaments that we had collected over the years.  I like to do themes for my trees.  Last year I did pink and silver in honor of the newest member of our family.  I'm really hoping to instill the tradition of decorating the tree with my kids. I love finding the perfect gifts for people and I love to watch their reactions when they open those gifts.  I generally wait until I have purchased ALL of my gifts, I sort them

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass
