Friday's Letters

Linking up with The Sweet Season for Friday's Letters

Dear Friday's Letters, I completely missed you last week because I was too busy doting on my Baby Girl after her ear surgery.  Sorry!

Dear Baby Girl, once again, you are sick.  This time you have some pretty high fevers.  You get one more day and they we are off to the doctor.  I really hope that some day you will be healthy!

Dear Baby #2, I think you're becoming my favorite.  No weight gain yet.  It's too good to be true!  Only a few more weeks until we find out if you are pink or blue!

Dear cold, go away!  I'm sick of being sick too!

Dear daycare, you've decided to close today because there are too many sick kids and staff members.  While I can appreciate the fact that you want to disinfect the entire building from top to bottom, I am irritated by the fact that you only let me know about it a day in advance and I had to scramble to find a babysitter!

Dear Earl & Deb, thanks for babysitting!

Dear Winter, I'm over you.  I was really hoping for one good snow storm before you left but it doesn't look like that's going to happen so just leave.  Go away and let the warmer weather move in.

Dear Beamer, I love you and you have been a great little SUV but I'm not sure you're big enough for two babies.  I don't think we can fit two car seats in your back comfortably.  I think we are going to have to think about trading you in for something bigger.

Dear readers, don't forget to vote!! Will Baby #2 be a boy or a girl?  Between the pole on the blog and my Facebook friends, we are at 50/50 right now!

Dear Baby Bump, you're getting cuter by the day!

Have a great weekend!

29 Week Bumpdate

The heart rate today was 160 and all is well. Little Man is still kicking away all the time!  He sleeps until late morning and then he's all over the place for the rest of the day.  It's fun but it's also uncomfortable sometimes. When I weighed myself on Sunday, which is when I usually do it to update my pregnancy app, I was only up 15lbs.  As of today, though, I am up 17lbs.  I feel like I am growing at warp speed but the doctor assures me that I am measuring just fine.  I do feel like some of the shirts I wore two weeks ago shouldn't be worn anymore though!  The bump is growing! I have noticed that I have been waking up with swollen ankles every morning despite sleeping with them elevated.  I know this has a lot to do with the weight gain since I had such a problem with it last time.  Other than that, the normal heartburn and backaches come and go and I'm crazy tired but I don't really have any other issues.  I don't ever ...

Cheerios Stands

So when I logged onto my computer this morning, the first article that caught my attention was this one ( Cheerios Stands ) about a new commercial Cheerios has out.  They are getting a ton of negative feedback for this commercial and I'm just not understanding why. So basically, people are upset because this is a white mother, a black father and a biracial child.  What's the big deal? I know that it isn't a common thing to see in a TV commercial but what's the big deal?  I really don't think that biracial couples are uncommone these days so I'm not really understanding why they are getting such negative feedback for this commercial.  I give a ton of props to Cheerios/General Mills for not pulling the ad.  They could do that and that would be easy and would end the negativity but they are not going to do that.  Good for you.  There is no reason why this ad should not be aired. By the way, I think the commercial is cute and funny and I proba...

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...
