So What Wednesday

So What Wednesday
This week, I'm saying so what if...
  • My child's obsession with hitting is seriously pushing me over the edge.  Even daycare is complaining.  How do I break her of this nasty habit, aside from duct taping her arms to her sides?
  • I had so much fun having my 'adult time' with my friends this past weekend that I want to do it every weekend!  I think our babies had fun too!
  • I was so amazed when above mentioned friend, who is Polish, told me that in Poland, kids are potty trained as soon as they can walk that I picked out a potty for Baby Girl.  Potty trained by September?  We'll see!
  • I went from not posting enough to posting too much last week.  I have to find a nice balance in between.
  • I have been getting a ton of spam comments lately and it's really beginning to piss me off.  Where do these people come from?!
  • I'm debating on whether or not to sign up for Bloglovin.  I just read my blogs from the blogger view.  Am I going to lose blogs if I don't sign up?
  • I am feeling so much more anxious about finding out the gender of this baby than I did the first time around.  I can't wait to find out!
  • I am officially calling Baby Girl bottle free.  It's been over two weeks since we took her night time bottle away and she has been amazing.  Let's hope there's not too much regression when Baby #2 comes.
  • We haven't gone grocery shopping in like two weeks.  I guess that's good because we had enough food to last but bad because now we are running out!
  • I created a registry for the baby a while ago just because I was entered to win a $250 gift card.  I have no real desire to buy anything for this child yet.
  • The only real babysitter we have for Baby Girl is my Mom.  We need some more friends!  Or a paid babysitter we trust.
  • I'm 16 weeks and 3 days and I still haven't gained an ounce of weight.  I can't believe how different this pregnancy has been.
  • At 16 weeks last time I around, I had posted this:  Eeeeewwwwwww - no elephant man feet so far!  (Yes, I just double checked to make sure)
  • The only thing I have been really craving so far is gravy.  At least two meals per week have some kind of gravy with them.  Weird but good.
  • I'm  starting to panic about having the space for Baby #2.  While we are planning to move to a bigger house, it won't be for a few months after the baby is born.  2 adults + 2 kids + 4 animals in a tiny 2 bedroom house = DISASTER!
  • I'm hoping to have some good news to share within the next few weeks (besides the baby gender).  I have been dying to share but I have to make sure things are aligned properly first.
  • We are still at half and half for the gender of Baby Miller #2.  Don't forget to vote!
  • I am in love with this song and, like a teenager, I have been listening to it over and over again.  My new favorite...

  1. Hi, I'm visiting through the So What Wednesday link-up. I am 16w4d pregnant with my second. I am dying to find out the gender too. More so than the first time. And our house is suddenly shrinking in size now that I imagine having two children in it. Or maybe that's just because of the outrageous number of toys our family buys for our son for his birthday.

  2. Yay for good news! Can't wait to hear!
And we only have my parents for sitters, but since my dad is sick, we don't even have that. So, I know how you feel!

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,

I'm Not Gonna Lie

Anyone who knows me know that I LOVE Christmas.  I love the decorations.  I love to decorate my own house and see all of the other cool decorations other people have.  There is a house down the street from us that always has more lights and decorations than I have ever seen in one yard.  It's a bit much but it's an attention grabber. I love the Christmas tree.  I love to get the tree out each year (yes we have a fake because I can't stand the needles) and I love to decorate it.  Growing up, our family would decorate the tree together with all kinds of ornaments that we had collected over the years.  I like to do themes for my trees.  Last year I did pink and silver in honor of the newest member of our family.  I'm really hoping to instill the tradition of decorating the tree with my kids. I love finding the perfect gifts for people and I love to watch their reactions when they open those gifts.  I generally wait until I have purchased ALL of my gifts, I sort them

Big News!

We have been trying very hard to keep this to ourselves for just a little while longer but I can't wait anymore!    Baby Miller #2...due 09/01/13!!!!!!!!! I am 8 weeks and 1 day I have known since Christmas Eve I am much more tired and much more nauseous this time around I haven't gained a single pound yet, unlike last time I am not so secretly hoping it's another girl If this one is anything like Baby Girl, he or she will be born mid-August I've been leaving hints all over the place but no one noticed! I am so excited!   I've already had one doctor's appointment but I was only 7 weeks so there wasn't much to do.  We couldn't hear the heartbeat or anything so the next appointment will be much more exciting!  My next appointment isn't until February 11th so that's when I'll get to hear and possibly see my next little monster!  So exciting!   PS:  Notice the blog title?!
